This is a great tragedy. Better education, greater availability of contraceptives, and improved support programs for single mothers who are African-American are positive controls that would help abate this tragedy.

Don't take away what is for many their only option--give them better options. When no option is good, create a good option. That is the American way.

The best option is stop having sex until you are ready to commit to one person. Marry that person and remain faithful to that person. When pregnancy occurs in this type of relationship a child in the womb is valued and wanted. When pregnancy occurs outside of a committed marriage the child is somehow "tissue" and an "inconvience". So the best option when dealing with abortion is "CLOSE YOUR LEGS".

This is the answer to preventing HIV/AIDS as well, but speaking with such an air of superiority will not accomplish your goal. The world is more complicated than you think it is. We all know that abstinence is the best way to solve unwanted pregnancy and STD problems, but the reality is that people are unwilling to submit to abstinence. I think that it is a human right for them to make that choice, though I might disagree with it, and the best I can think to do is act humanely to them anyway.

If abstinence is the best answer then why improve on something that is 100% effective. Sex is a choice, abortion is a woman or man trying to correct a bad choice. The child inside the womb is not bad, the choice to have sex when not prepared to be responsible for your actions is bad. This is not a complex issue, it is as simple as the next breath you take, it is LIFE!

@Paulkiotobjj Doctor Tiller killed thousands upon thousands in his clinic in fact it was in the upper twenties and he aborted thousands of fully developed babies and they discarded them like trash! This is just one example every year millions of babies are aborted! This is the sad reality.
