BBC Breakfast TV came to Lancashire and visit Blackburn & Blackburn Rovers on 1st September 1995. Rovers had won the title, and put the town on the map. See the late Jack Walker, Alan Shearer, Colin Hendry, Terry Gennoe, Gerald Jackson and reporter Charles Lambert. From the Archives - great memories.

  • Had to laugh at this. I had to phone Talksport when the semi coherent Terry Christian said Blackburn "bought" the league title. I then went through the prices that Manure had paid for their players. I also stopped him when he kept referring to a team called "u-nigh-id". and asked him if he was referring to West Ham or Newcastle. What a cunt

  • i was two when we won da prem brfc 4 eva and thanks uncle jack walker

  • Also ince's inability to listen to instructions led to his downfall, the foray into the champions league was difficult, we were totally outclassed. The cantona incident, the kids coming through, numerous injuries to players like Parker, Sharpe and Giggs and finnaly the signing of Andy Cole unsettled the team. It was a strange and exciting season, just hard to swallow. Blackburn's downfall the following season made it more fustrating.

  • Fair point regarding shearer in 92-93 , he was scoring for fun right up to the end of 92 and it was boxing day (I think) when he got injured badly, however cantona gave us that edge as usual . I did enjoy Blackburn as rivals it was more fun in those days. The 1994-1995 season was a crucial year for us, we had many problems that season, the relationship between fergie and kanchelkis didn't help.

  • I live in BB :D

  • regards kallytom. A ridiculous penalty and sending off of Henning Berg at Ewood, and disallowed Sherwood goal at Old Traffford for a non push by Shearer meant we lost 4 points and United gained 5 in matches between us that year. Losing at Liverpool and Cole missing chances at West Ham made being Champions better. P.S. If Shearer had played all season in 92/93 we'd have won the league that season. 13 years on, it still feels as good as ever. Thanks Uncle Jack.

  • Colin Hendry, a true legend for Scotland and Rovers. I shall never forget him.

  • DON'T BE A SORRY LOSER

  • I WAS ONLY 3 WEN DEY WON THE PREM BRAAAAP
