Steve Hackett, the renowned and immensely talented, innovative guitarist, has returned to his roots with his latest album Out Of The Tunnels Mouth, which will be out 5th October 2009. This will be the first release on Steves own label Wolfworks Records.
To support the release of Out of the Tunnels Mouth Steve will bring his Train On The Road Tour to the UK in November 2009

Steve was lead guitarist with Genesis as part of their classic line up with Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford, that produced acclaimed albums such as Selling England by the Pound . With Steve's extraordinary versatility in both his electric guitar playing and his composing, he involves influences from many genres, including Jazz, World Music and Blues. He is equally gifted in the classical arena with albums that include renditions of pieces by composers from Bach to Satie, his own acoustic guitar compositions that have gained the admiration of many. • Steve is an articulate guy. When he left Genesis in 77 the intellect and musical integrity of the band left with him.

  • Fabulous interview, great questions (and answers). I didn't see this interview until now...

  • This man is a god. Splendid interview. Thanks for posting all three parts.

  • Great interview, thanks! Steve is a really great guy, in addition to his marvelous music...

  • I was at the Shepherd's Bush gig! The look on his face when he saw three 16 year olds in the audience :-)

  • I really loved this interview; both of them did their part extraordinarily well. Gonna see Steve and the band tomorrow February 6th in my home town. Would like to give him a big hug...and I'm not a bloke for sure...for all the splendid music he has been and is creating for the joy and pleasure for us all! Welcome, Steve! and thanks for publishing this interview!

  • Very interesting interview, thanks for sharing it.

  • Very good interview ! Now, after so many years of being a Genesis-Hackett Erafan, and a personal admirer of his solo projects, at least this interview goes more to his solo career and his long and extended repertoir, thanks Pete ! WHAT I REALLY ADMIRE ABOUT STEVE HACKETT IS NOT ONLY HIS PLAYING OR WRITING OR THE WAY HE COMPOSES, BUT THE WAY HE THINKS AND BELIEVES IN HIS OWN DREAMS NOT COMPANY RECORDS DREAMS ...

  • This is *the* essential Hackett interview. Nicely done!
