Please read the comments already posted. This has been discussed. I'm assuming English is your first language, and therefore you'll be aware of the more subtle applications of phrases such as 'loses it' without having to invoke stereotypical assumptions of geography. Request denied!

Perhaps they are. The key point in this case is not that Sheridan was/was not a bigger liar than anyone else, however. The crux is whether or not he was willing, able and ready to lie about his sex life to protect his image, his marriage, his career etc, AND make £200,000 into the bargain. A considerable sum. What if he'd sued for a penny, just to make a point of principle? Would police investigate a 1p fraud? Probably not. Tommy set himself up for this, and any fall-out is his responsibility.

Well, no. £200,000. Small matter to you, mebbe, but a lot of money in most people's book. Yes, capitalism must be overthrown, but if someone attempts (allegedly) to obtain a large amount of cash by arguably nefarious means, society must respond. If the same funds were obtained by ripping off 200,000 people for a £1 each that would still be a heinous crime, regardless of the ability to pay of the individuals ripped off!
