Schools maths programme, with Mary Waterhouse and the almighty Fred Harris. Frequently used abstract dancing dot graphics to demonstrate things (such as how to count in base 4 in the second part), and called twenty "two-ty" for reasons I have never been able to discover.
Fantastic upload - I well remember watching this on ITV Schools on Channel 4 during 1987-88, the first school year I was educated at home, and I assume the recording is from that year because I don't think it was shown after that.
Just the opening seconds of the title sequence set off the right frissons. Fred Harris had *just* the right tone for this sort of thing, and Ron Geesin achieved much in his time (not least in his collaborations with a mercifully pre-pomp Roger Waters).
Fred Harris what a blast from the past, reminds me of ther childrens presnters like Jonny Ball,. Flo Benjamin & Brian Cant
