This is part 1 of creating two custom UT Vehicles. The first vehicle is a Hover Harley Davidson and the second vehicle will be a Hummer with a mounted grenade launcher on top of the vehicle...
If you think you've solved the problem, upload a video of a face rig working in Max or Maya with the facial animation actually working and I will believe that you're correct....
I have followed the dot.xsi route with crosswalk and every conceivable method and it never worked..
The only way I personally would believe it now is see someone make a video on it with it actually working because I have had the same instructions you've posted here given to me hundreds of times.
I did all that already but the facial motion data doesn't transfer...Well it does but its not linked to the face but just the helpers...Even when I baked the animation to the export mesh,(simplified mesh)...
just get crosswalk /free/ plugins from autodesk site and you can transfer data between xsi max and maya fast and simple (you will use dotxsi format)
you can just import /export stuff but also you can "update" your elements so you can for example send your scene from one app to another, do what you needed in 2nd app and just send it back to your original app
That's what I did many months ago and you get these no-it-all idiots who think they know everything and when it boils down to it, they know very little about the complex stuff!
I even wrote to Blur studios who helped Autodesk make Face Robot and they said that there was information out there....

Yeah I did that for every Face pose and then made a rough facial animation in Max but it wasn't up to the standard of Face Robot!

@lexluthornumber1 yeah,I made it exporting the model as obj,but with no animation, just the mesh.
I'm glad you are a youtube partner ,congrats.
