1989 was not a good year (for the owners) for Lincoln,it was, however ,a great year for dealer parts people like myself to make a buttload of $ off these junkers.
So what? I prefer the 1980-89 Town Car better than the others. Especially the 1980 version, its only year on the "Panther" chassis to be called the "Continental Town Car" and also the only year to have the 351W V8 engine.
@counterclockwise123 you idiot, i just told you i drive a 97 mark viii lsc. see previous comment. "currently i drive a 97 LSC." get your reading comprehension skills up to par before you come to me with some bull shit
@counterclockwise123: buddy, I've owned enough lincolns to start my own used car lot. Along w/ that p.o.s continental, i've owned a 79 town car, a 93 mark VIII (p.o.s) & currently a 97 Mark VIII LSC. (My baby), i know what im talkin about. Last i checked, this was still america so im entitled to my opinion
@Kbsantangelo The 91 Continental is not a good example of a Lincoln. You have no place judging all Lincolns based on your experience with that shit box.
Boxy styling FTW!

@ClassicTVMan1981X I do really like those Town Cars, but my favorite is the 98-02 models. My favorite Lincoln would have to be the 93-96 Mark Vlll.

Since the Town Car was killed, Lincoln is dead to me.
