Quick little shootout between a heavily modified Vox V847 - Sabbadius halo inductor / tropical fish caps / internal Q trimpot / socketed BC109 transistors / McCon-o-wah pot / true bypassed. Other wah is a newer dunlop CryBaby shell with a NOS Thomas Organ stack-o-dimes inductor circuit board.

Any and all mods done to these wahs were done by me, myself, and I. I'm playing through a stereo rig consisting of numerous effects into a Crate VC30 and a Mesa DC-3. Guitar is a Fender Stratocaster with SCN single coils.

Effects I actually used while shooting (besides the 2 wahs) are a Tech 21 Character Series British, Barber Direct Drive, Monsterpiece Scratchy Snatch fuzz, Retro Sonic Analog Delay, Line 6 Verbzilla, and an Ibanez FL99 Classic Flange

Sorry for the gratuitous wanna-be Hendrix wankery, but hey... these are WAH pedals! :0)

  • cool video, thank you.. the vox is a little more lively to my ears. i like em both tho.

  • considering the Soul Inductor myself. did the Soul Inductor "drop in" or did you need to solder any extra leads in there for fitting?

  • Nice, they both sound great. Wanna send me one??????

  • Standby switches are for pussies haha.

  • Where do you get your 3p3t switches.

I got DPDT and I think they are wrong for true bypass, and other mods.
