if bands like this were mainstream then they would have to conform to what people wanted. By them being relatively underground they can play what they want and their fans will come to them. In my opinion, 99% of all mainstream bands suck ass because they try to keep their fans happy, and not play what they really want to play

you realize this song is many years old, at least 5 id say and if i remember correctly there was one ballad on each of their albums (at least the first 2 that ive actually heard)

I love songs like this because they make the heavy stuff sound all the more intense right after this track.
