Stanley Clark was the first main player I studied even before Jaco. He's the only guy who can teach you so much about playing just one note.

This has got to be one of the greatest solos of all time. A beginning, a middle and and end. It is what is missing from 90 percent of all solos. Stanley you rock!

@rintintin7529 The reason I said it its because some people may be speechless towards this & when I get inspired by such masterpieces I have the tendecy to write a lot. And No I'm not American. I think you can see in my channel my nationality (which btw is Portuguese). Still thx & enjoy this solo.

this bass solo is so relaxing yet it also transmites joy... together with the different techniques used & their performance, the great melody, harmony & rhythm it has and its awesome back-up (drums, guitar & keyboard) it brings one of the greatest bass solo EVER.
Simply amazing, awesome, or should I say fantastic? No words???
Then it's a masterpiece. But not any masterpiece, This is one of the biggest pieces ever. (& It's about schoold days!!!)!.!

Is that Dune Tune I hear in the beginning? OH MY GOD. If you haven't already heard the song look it up, but the likeness is uncanny.

@pearlbeachbagus I'm not 100% sure that I understand what you mean, but here is what I think you mean:
If you buy this song on iTunes you get the exact same song only with a different solo? And you like this solo more then you like the "new" solo?
If I got that right then I dont know what to say really. I havent heard the iTunes version's solo. Would very much like to hear that! This is from the original CD "The Bassic Collection", which my father got many many years ago.
