With Kathrine Brandt soprano

The silver swan who, living, had no note,
when death approached, unlocked her silent throat.

Leaning her breast against the reedy shore,
thus sung her first and last, and sung no more:

"Farewell all joys,
O death come close [mine]1 eyes.
More geese than swans now live,
more fools than wise."

  • Makes me want to go party all night !

  • life is not all about party

  • Very nice! And I like the fact that the swan is kind of dingy and brown and tired and old, as is the swan in the song, who, disappointed and disgusted with what his world has come to, just wants to die and get the hell out of here.

  • thanks, nice comment!

  • A beautiful performance but have pity on the poor swan. A sin to publish such suffering
