Allentown Fire Department Firehouses and Apparatus throughout the years. Included are photos of the 1st motorized Aerial Ladder in the United States. Once again, music by the talented DropKick Murphys. Thanx for watching!
I grew up behind the Fairview fire company. The used to have a candy machine and soda machine in by the fire trucks. Candy was five cents, soda 10 cents. They had a round table where you could sit to drink your soda. Like the table and chairs you see in westerns. The floors were made of wood; you could see hoof prints from the horses that used to pull the old pumpers. The kids were told not to touch the trucks and we didn't. Back then kids had resect, and we were given some to.
very cool I live in east allentown and grew up right down the street from to east allwntown fire house 12 on east walnut street. it is now just a social club, where my wife and i had our wedding reception. good job thanks for posting it
