  • Great Jam Marco:) Thanks for the close up of the SQ80, I didn't realise how close it resembles the ESQ1, the start of the video sounds identical too, what are the real differences apart from a floppy drive on the sq? I really like this video because the two synths are especially unique sounding, especially when heard together in a great retro jam like this..rock on!!!

  • @mik300z

    thanks a lot Mick :)

compared to the ESQ-1, the SQ-80 has more waveforms, the floppy, a bigger sequencer, polyphonic aftertouch (ESQ-1?)

the sound is identical. I like this synth a lot.

  • Marco in heaven ! ;)

  • @Mibrilane I know that much friend what i mean is trying to mack patches. There are so many modulations. I haven't got a CLUE where to start. It's pretty head wrecking to be honest.

  • @Dectheboner Really? I think the SQ-80 (and ESQ-1) is possibly the easiest to edit digital synth ever. Press the button for the parameter group (oscillator, filter, envelope) you want to edit, then press the soft key next to the on-screen parameter you want to edit and move the data slider to edit the value. It's not one knob per function, but it's quick.

  • I have an Ensoniq SQ 80 and i haven't got a clue how to programme it. I think i will sell it a get something with sliders and knobs. Much easier.

  • Great results man, and great stuff you have there

  • love your videos and tracks from australia!!

  • great modulation stuff :-)

  • After a few years I finally found a great cheap price for JUPITER-4 in mint condition working perfectly. With original silver metal music sheet stand, and original hard case, all excellent condition.

Thanks to your great videos Mr Retrosound, I do not want JP8 or JP6.

I realized the best most interesting sound is JUPITER-4.

  • wow i love the combo of these is great ...:)
