Heavy Metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic, aluminum, arsenic and other heavy metals are continuing to increase in our environment adding to the toxic burden of our children. Pollution, cooking utensils, food, deodorants, toothpaste, pesticides, amalgam fillings and animal feed are just some of the sources that find their way into our bodies. Children with Autism have impaired immune and detoxification systems allowing the accumulation of these metals in their tissues including skin, bones, brain, kidneys and other organs which can be expressed in a variety of neurological, behavioral, learning impairments as well as physical symptoms. This presentation will discuss ways of reducing the toxic burden through the use of natural treatments that are safe and effective. Several case studies will be presented showing successful treatment with nutritional, dietary and other interventions.
