PLI Powerline QRN on 2m from Integral Energy Powerpole

I have suffered progressively worsening PLI QRN from an Integral Energy power pole on HF, but tonight, it started on 2m. I pinpointed the direction with my 2m LFA Yagi, then went for a walk with my Yaesu hand held listening on AM. When I got to the suspect power pole, it sounds like a machine gun. Now to see if Integral Energy will be interested in fixing it or not...

Integral Energy, the pole owner, refuse to do anything about the interference stating it is not their problem. I have taken the matter up with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Radio Inspector as of today 21 June 2010.

I have the number of who I need to speak to at the power company, but for 2 days now, the number just rings to an answerphone. Have left a message but no reply yet. I will keep trying them. In the meantime, I still have the PLI QRN.

16/06/10 - The pole has been identified using an 8ele 70cm handheld yagi and Yaesu handheld (on AM), and the pole ID number noted. I will call the electricity people tomorrow, and provide updates via comments here on how/if/when the problem gets solved.
