@landmark425 TCAS should be on, just prior entering the runway. And yes, it does work on the ground.
-
Human factors strikes again.
-
@landmark425 THANKS 4 THE EXPLANATION!
-
@solomonpilot767 TCAS only works with other aircraft that are airborne. The twin prop on the runway would not have shown up. However, the pilot should have seen the prop and went around. Just a careless mistake on both the pilot side and the controllers...
-
Why did the 737 pilot not go around? He must have clearly seen the twin prop on the runway...
-
Bet that was an awkward dinner.
"hey honey, how was your day?"
" I killed 30 people, how was yours?"
-
@TFdude15 The 737 did not land directly on top of the metroliner, all the 737 wheels were on the ground and a few seconds later it collided with the rear of the metroliner. And yes it was at night
-
I thoughtt the B733 landed on top of the metrojet and the incident was at night.
-
if the B 737 HAD TCAS WOULD THAT ACCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTABLE?DID THE B737 HAD A TCAS?
-
I wonder what happened to the ATC that made the mistake of clearing an aircraft to land on an occupied runway resulting in the incursion?
