A closer look into how mini controllers and DMX desks work with your lighting.
Sorry for the bad video editing .... I had to really chop it down big style to condense it into around the 10 min limit.

  • dude how many ights does he have???

  • @nikosksil just used 3 to keep things simple , ellakins has bloody hundreds............i know cos I have been round his house......most are still sat in their boxes lol.

Personally I only have around 40 or so, but to be fair most are now out of date now or are totally knackered.

Good times whilst it lasted but I have now retired from DJ'in, time to pass the "Baton" on to you guys.

    Cheers

  • hey, do your acme dynamos sort of shake when the mirror tilts?

  • nope they dont , but its a double headed setup in the dynatwin and dynyaroll so they have a bit more weight to em' than the single headed dynamo its possible it may be normal for a single headed fixture to shake a little :)

  • hehe, sorry what i mean does the stepper motor for the tilt shake?, im just trying to find out so if it is not normal i will have to send the scanner back :)

  • I see , nope it doesnt on mine :)

  • do you love yourself?

  • can you give me a link on where u bought the dmx lights and controller

  • There is actually a difference between XLR (microphone cable) and DMX. The difference is the resistance. I guess for short runs like your doing, it's alright, but if your lights are farther apart, you will start to encounter problems.

  • Nice work

  • you probably know this allready, but just to let others know, you shouldn't use a mic cable, because although it will work, if you get interferance from other lights or signals (wich is more likely to happen using a mic cable) it will fry your chip inside it, completely ruining the entire light - just thought i should out it out there

  • WOW HE IS DAVID GUETTA!!!!!

  • gracias compadre muy buen video

  • u cant use micraphone cables because dmx cables are actually data cables and microphone cables are audio cables u cant use ,micraphone cables because they carry a bigger voltage or ohm than dmx cables if u open up a dmx cable u will find that it is like a see through usb data cable so if u use micrpphone cables for ur lights u have the risk of damaging the chip inside them :)
