You can use them in the ocean and also it could help you break track records, the shoes help yoi run how you were designed to run..barefoot... Which when you run how your supposed to you will get faster, just not immediately, also the balls of your feet will hurt in the beginning but give it time and theyll be fine
Also if runnin in them dont land on your heel it could cause injury

what if you have six fingers???

My toe nails hurt so I had to cut them really short because the rubber's grinding the front nails of my toe.
Also I get irritated on my pinky toe nails and I can't run over and hour outside because it hurts the bottom of my feet. Overall I would wear them maybe once a month.
@ mynameneednotbesaid. haha. no im not even close to a Parkourist! They have way more skill. i just like to move free.

i never said you should strike with your heel. i mentioned your heel does make contact during long distance running. the proper motion is fluid and without harsh resistance. This is to be made extremely cleat about these type of shoes being that they do not have much support.

Then there would be no purpose for Vibram to add traction or padding to the heel of the shoe. if you have ever seen a pair of Vigram shoes they do. Especially in this model. Thank you for the feedback. Hope that answers your question.

There is almost no shoe on the market that does not allow you to contact the ground with your heel. The only shoes for that would be track shoes designed for full sprint. These shoes in question were designed for all terrain. its in the owners manual. To say that your heel is not supposed to be used during normal running is to say that we are only made to be in full sprint. In which we lean forward and stay on the balls of our feet. If this was true....
