@PLrap96 I assume that most Americans are quite aware of the poverty that exists, and generally avoid the inner city ghettoes which are well known to be relatively dangerous places and to be avoided. I have personally been in the ghettoes of a number of American cities, as well as impoverished rural areas. I even lived in one for 18 months as a teenager.
So your point seems somewhat moot.

@PLrap96 It is true that U.S. TV does not generally focus on depressing topics like poverty...because it does not "sell" to the viewing audience. But it is still reported on in various ways, froom COPS to shorter news items focusing on individual peoples problems. Then too, there are the various charities that are always assaulting everybody for donations. It is pretty hard to not notice them.

Really brave guy to go out and film all those fucked up situations.

@notoriousjcn702 really? I'm drunk and I don't thinks she's "hoooottt". Classy? Absolutely. Informative? Yes. Professional? Absolutely. Oh damn, those legs. Ok, you got me. She's "hoooottt".

I definitely like how Mr. Hetherington did a good job of dodging her obviously baited and biased questions. Not sure why anyone here thinks RT is anything different from any other news source as they seek sensationalism just as any others do.

we are disconnected but by design after the vietnam war when the media actually showed what was going on, that lead to all the protest ** now it is censored completely on what really goes on- if the nation was able to see truth - you would see a lot more involvement from the people- thus the reason rt news is good!
I'm spend five months embedded with her! Thmbs up if you would too!
