  • I was at this concert tripping on mushrooms. It was an extremely powerful, clinical trip.

I remember talking to my friend after the concert as we walked round London and part of the conversation went like this:

"Just imagine if you could be transported back to the 1950's and you played the Berserker album to people from then, wonder what they would make of it "

Well in 2009, 1984 was 25 years ago; just as in 1984, 1959 was 25 years ago when I had the above conversation.

  • Yeh, and its still awsome!!!

  • This vid is a testament to Numan as an "in character" stage performer in the same cloth as marilyn manson over a decade later. This is incredible. What a pioneer.

  • I don't really follow how they sound the same; I'd say they have much more range than succeeding The Fury.

  • @cumonlove so jealous! i'd love to see this gig or any back. im gonna see him next week here in London. I'm glad he's still around. with more industrial feeling though. I can work on the mushrooms but not in time :( this infection of time...

  • awesome

  • True,very true.

Moreover, Berserker, as a complete work is astounding. And held against even the best known acts of the time, this is an extremely mature album for a 24 year old to write. The title track could be released today and sound as fresh as it did then

  • Cedric Sharpley's drumming combined with the powerful synthsounds is like being run over by a train. Love it. Gary tho sounds bit frozen here, I don't like this version that much.

    Berserker <3 <3

  • They don't sound the same at all. Both Berserker and The Fury sound similar but they are two diffrent albums. Both have some of the best songs ever released in the 80s

Berserker is my favriote GN album, and the best one in my opinion.

  • This was reissued in Cold Warning with better quality. Check my videos, I have the full dvd uploaded.

  • This is where Marilyn Manson got all those ideas from. Mechanical Animals/Berserker. Very similar, and every song on Mechanical Animals sounds like something straight off of The Fury or Berserker
