Well, the tobacco companies did not force the consumer to smoke. However, through the most clever advertising of the 20th century, they did entice millions to take up a lethal and addicting habit. Witness the Flintstones shilling for Winstons in the early 1960's. Children and adults were all fair game, the companies had no shame. Above all else, money. Your health does not matter to us.

@rainallday my great grandfather started when he was 14 and died at 89. a freind started when he was 15 and died at 27. bill hicks started when he was 21 and died at 35. my grandfather started at 13 quit when he was 43 and died at 73. i started at 6 (parents smoked, easy to get) and i still smoke and i'm in good health at 28.
