Story of Raymond Manalo - kidnapped by the Philippine army and tortured as a suspected terrorist. Amazingly, he escaped and lives to tell his tale and the plight of other people lost to disappearances that he met in the camps.
Remember he is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.... the same troops who abducted Raymond Manalo, the UP student-activists: Karen Empeno and Sherlyn Cadapan, and many other Filipinos...
Very few persons have escaped from abduction, illegal detention and torture and even fewer will speak out against their military torturers and for that, I admire the courage of Mr. Raymond Manalo. A retired General known as the "Butcher" was named here who talked to Raymond, meaning he was an accomplice, at least, in these human rights violations, yet he is not charged in court. Tragically, such is the Philippine justice system at the moment where human rights defenders are killed with impunity.
So much respect that he stood the tortures and intimidations we hardly stand to watch and listen to - and now to fight these mean hidden monsters - A comfort that Amnesty is a platform and supports those who need friends fighting for justice - hopefully the girls survived and get free soon

Jesus fucking christ, people are sick bastards. His description is like it came from a Hostel movie.
