  • You're running ET:QW through WINE?

  • i'm not running it :)

    but it's NOT through wine..

    it's native into Linux

  • Looks smooth, what resolution? and what fps?

  • as for phoronix guys say: it should be max resolution... but i don't know what's the max resolution with ET Qwars

you could read FPS on the top-left corner... if you can't .. it's 30 fps but with maxed setting :)

    anyway it look smooth!

  • nice thats how much i get on my 8800GT.

    2900xt so good ;/

  • fps are capped to 30 fps anyway...

if you unlock them it speed up a lot

  • What is that in octal?

  • chmod a+x

  • I mean every second or two it stalls for like 3 frames..

  • There seems to be a 2 second stall through the video, I wonder if they had enough ram..

  • You can get the ETQW client native.. 1.4 works.. When you download it, you ahve to do the following:

    sudo chmod 777 ./etqw-client.run

    then run it..

Answer all the questions and put in your DVD..

It will install it all.. Then to run it, just chmod 777 the executable as root (if needed) and execute. The first few times I tried with updates and such it didn't work, then I tried the full 1.4 client in Ubuntu and did..

  • HD 3850 FTW! lol :p

  • Don't think he will get alot.

i get 50-60 max sometime on my 8800GT

    but is 25-30 avg.
