GTA SA: How to Add Sweet, Ryder, & Smoke to GSF Gang (PC & MAC ONLY)

To Add Sweet & Ryder to GSF Gang

1. Go to data folder

PC = C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data

MAC = Right Click the App\Show Package Contents\Contents\Resources\transgaming\c_drive\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data

2. Look for the file "peds.ide"

3. Open it with

PC = Notepad

MAC = TextEdit

4. Scroll down to "#---ADD NEW PEDS HERE"

5. Copy

270, SWEET, SWEET, GANG2, STAT_GANG2, gang2, 110F,1, null,5,5,PED_TYPE_GANG,VOICE_GNG_SWEET ,VOICE_GNG_SWEET
271, RYDER, RYDER, GANG2, STAT_GANG2, gang2, 110F,1, null,5,5,PED_TYPE_GANG,VOICE_GNG_RYDER ,VOICE_GNG_RYDER

6. Paste it Between #---ADD NEW PEDS HERE and #---END OF NEW PEDS

7. Save it & close

8. Now Look for the file "pedgrp.dat"

9. Open it with

PC = Notepad

Mac = TextEdit

10. Scroll down & Add them to GSF gang & it should look like this

FAM1, FAM2, FAM3, SWEET, RYDER

11. Save it & close

12. Play Game

WARNING - The game will crash if your doing a mission involved with either Sweet or Ryder or both. I recommend doing this when you complete all the Missions.

UPDATE 12/20/11: If the files extension ends with "txt" after saving, change it back.
Example: peds.txt change it to peds.ide
Example 2: pedgrp.txt change it to pedgrp.dat

Big Smoke:
Go to peds.ide, scroll down and look for ID number 258

258, SMOKE, SMOKE, GANG2, STAT_GANG2, gang2, 110F,1, null,5,5,PED_TYPE_GANG,VOICE_GNG_SMOKE ,VOICE_GNG_SMOKE

Replace the code on the bottom with the one at top and save.

258, HECK1, HECK1 , CIVMALE, STAT_TOUGH_GUY, man, 0,1, null,7,0,PED_TYPE_GEN,VOICE_GEN_NOVOICE ,VOICE_GEN_NOVOICE

Add him to pedgrp.dat and should look like this and save.

FAM1, FAM2, FAM3, SWEET, RYDER, SMOKE

Big Bear:
Go to peds.ide and look for ID # 0 and 7. Paste the code between those two IDS.

4, BBTHIN, BBTHIN, GANG2, STAT_GANG2, gang2, 0, 0, man, 1,4, PED_TYPE_GANG, VOICE_GNG_BIG_BEAR, VOICE_GNG_BIG_BEAR

Add him to pedgrp.dat and should look like this and save.

FAM1, FAM2, FAM3, SWEET, RYDER, SMOKE, BBTHIN

@TripyWay Lastly, go to pedgrp.dat and add the skin name to the drug dealers list.

Should look like this: BALLAS3, WMYDRUG, HMYDRUG, BIKDRUG

And also remove "BALLAS3" from the gang list, otherwise the game will crash.

@TripyWay You need to go to peds.ide look for the drug dealer ID # which is #28. The skin name is BMYDRUG and BALLAS3 is #104. Replace the ID name of #28 with #104. Should look like this

28, BALLAS3, BALLAS3, CRIMINAL, STAT_CRIMINAL, gang2, 110F,0, man,5,5,PED_TYPE_GEN,VOICE_GEN­_BMYDRUG ,VOICE_GEN_BMYDRUG

Then replace the ID name of #104 with #28.
