A short Suite of "The Lost Child" From Mark McKenzie.

Some time the television films are thrown back by some film music lovers , it is a monumental error, most of the time these music are more magnificent than some blockbuster which misses the melody and head teacher of which the subject is the action, it is very orchestral and symphonic but lack of feelings.
It is not the case with Mark McKenzie that I discovered recently in 2000 with music of the television film "The Lost Child" which underlines very melodiously all the scenes of the film, the tenderness, the enjoyment and the sadness, these feelings are very difficult to express and the composer has to feel them he even, it is what compose Mark McKenzie, he compose with his spirit, his heart and puts a lot completely into the subject, a very great composer, regrettably little represented in CD.

Maybe the producers dont want to take any risks also it is an error. Many theme music is massacred on CD by songs introduced into films and the music of the composer passes in the background, it is a real error, and we dont know anything more from the work of the composer, this is a great disappointments for the collectors who love this music.

Mark McKenzie is a part of these composers whom we listen to only once and we cannot stop any more, his music let us shared its own feelings and about one the film it remains there without ever getting the upper hand over the film even, it is a great composer. when a tear passes by your eyes because the scene that you looked is dramatically sad, to cut the sound and you will feel nothing, absolutely nothing, but yes, it is the music which makes vibrate your sentimental ropes and nothing others.

I hope sincerely that certain producers will understand one day that we the collectors, love affectionately of such composers and that it is their music which we want to listen to and not the insertions necessary for the progress film, those it is very easy to us to find them everywhere, but not the music of the Composer.

  • This is a beautiful piece of Music. It touches a person's heart.

  • I wonder if you would be so kind to put up this particular part of music I was talking about before. It reminds me very much of my task and might help me to go on with it. I am your age by the way. - Anyway - thank you very much again for the one you put on. My recorder broke down 4 years ago and ever since I neither saw the film nor heard the music. All the best - esp. for 2010 !

  • They showed this film in German TV only once. I came in the middle of the film, got it on video and saw it very often, because the energy is so uprising. I am so longing to see the whole film! We cannot buy the DVD over here. Truly one of my very favourite films!

  • At last!!! Thank you! I am looking for this film sice ages, now at least somebody who loves the music.

I cried my eyes out at the scene where they dance - you hear the traditional Indian music and suddenly the modern music starts and for a few moments you hear them both - absolutely wonderful together. For me it was an example for peace in the world . . . that although we all are different as a person, it all goes together in harmony.
