You would be surprised of the open communication and negotiation that takes place between Mr. Brant and Opp leadership. When people dig their heels in and treat things as an us vs. them fight, no benefit will be derived for either side. Aboriginal leaders and Opp realize this. Speculation about the involved persons and circumstances by emotional people are no help.
As soon as you get off topic and start talking about "smoking pot" you lose all credibility and interest in your cause.

I studied criminal and case law in college a few years back. I'm not sure what exactly went down that day, but even if he did attack that man it seems justified in the defense of the women he was violently threatening with his bat and truck..... I guess it was said best and most accurate that they were just looking for something, anything, to put him away for....

first, i live in the town where the protesting with shawn brant was, hes an idiot. His tactics are violent and abrasive. Its not fair to the towns people. hes not even native. he was adopted by natives. finally, the media has shown sympathy, they went to the reserve and showed some homes on the reserve and was like, look how they live, its awful, well, no because they didnt show ALL the houses, there are two millionaire millionaires on that reserve, all these natives who are doing this are idiot

Nia:wen Shawn for your constant sacrifice for the good of your people...despite what people/media say now...history will remember you fondly I'm sure and will most likely look upon the present actions of the authorities with dissapointment and great disdain.
The pity about the whole thing though...is that first...everyone presently involved will have to at first died...Ironic...and also the reason OKA is not yet in our school curriculum. (There are still people alive to offend.)
