This is my Fiero on the dyno. Car is an 86, with a ZZP 3800 Performance crate engine, ZZP cam, intercooler, Headers, 42.5# injectors, 3.0" pulley, Northstar TB, Ported blower, and a whole bunch of other goodies. About 15# of boost in this setup.

  • Saboo 57, I have an 88 GT. I will be doing the 3800sc swap in March. I live in California. I know I can't do a whole lot to it without failing smog. Where do you live, and what are your actual 1/4 mile times? I plan on using a 3.4 pulley and a genV m90. Any track videos? If love to see them. Nice car man. I live the natural look of the Fiero. I don't understand why people turn them into Lambos and Ferarris (and not install the BMW v12). Lol

  • @ToothFairyExperience I'm in eastern PA, about as far away from you as possible without leaving the country, I'm afraid! I've never put the car down the 1/4 mile, mostly out of fear of grenading the stock Getrag trans. I can assure you that even with an unmodified 3800sc, you're going to have a ball with your car. If you do a search for supercharged fiero, the vid of the street racing with an eclipse is this car w/ original owner. it's picked up 50hp since then.

WTF are you smoking? I would put $100 it was a dynojet. If it put down 364 on a loaded dyno, then props! Get your head out of your ass dude. I have the exact same setup and mine put down 315 rwhp and 335 ft/lb torque on a loaded dyno (Mustang)

  • @Rare87GT @Rare87GT - yes - Dynojet for sure. The engine is a bored 3800 block from ZZP with a ZZP hot cam and ZZP intercooler, aftermarket valves springs and rockers, ported intake, 3.0" pulley, ported SC, SS Autochrome headers, custom tune, PRJ fuel rails, , northstar TB, 42.5# injectors, dual cam chain, and a few minor things beside.

These were tuning pulls, and I think there may be another 5-10HP hiding in it, but until I find it, I cant say for sure.

    I deleted the overposts.

  • hey the trim that is black that goes around the car, did you paint yours or did you order it somewhere. if so where. and love this beast, hell of a ride

  • @rhetericalpha Yes - that is the stock trim pained to match when the rest of the car was done. Thanks for the compliment!

  • i'm not actually central PA, but i do reside there.

  • @sabooo57 eastern PA, huh? awesome fiero! thanks for the motivating vid. i'm cental PA and just picked up an 88 gt. I'm planning on doing the l67 swap this winter. did you do the swap yourself...any tips? do you know if the wiring "plans" on gmtuners is accurate? seems to good to be true that someone put the pinout to pinout wiring diagram, and that it's accurate. did you buy motor mounts, or fabricate? i've got the getrag in the car, but i think i'll go with a 4t65e-hd for now...

  • I don't know if your aiming for more power, but you can put a whipple on the 3800s. It should bolt to any intercooler according to the sight that sells it. Its much more efficient than the Eatons and can pump way more air.

  • I'm surprised your seeing 15 lbs of boost, what kind of head work do you have?

  • That is a nice car. love the color.

  • @Rare87GT you do realize theres a lot of tuning that goes into an engine before it puts down its full potential

  • You wanna sell me yours?
