Good Idea to combine them early. If you wait it'll be harder and won't look as uniform. I combine one of my daughter's locks when her locks were only 4 months in and she still has double ends where the lock started to mature. I so want to cut the end but she likes that it has two ends. She says it looks like bugs bunny and it's her favorite lock lol.

@tbey82 Awww thats so cute lol....I wan't my locs to be as thick as my sisters so I'd rather just wait it out for now....although I'm a bit impatient I have to calm down cuz I know exactly how I want em now.

I would definately grow it out a lil more...I'm starting my journey again as well...I plan on having atleast 6 months of growth then start but to each is on! good luck!

@renceferd83 I am a fan of thick locs. Before I started locking, I wanted thinner locks but I love how strong and full my hair has become. I don't think I would have had this effect if I got them as thin as I wanted originally. I would like to see how you look with thicker locks. Thin locks looked sexy on you...I can IMAGINE how thicker ones will ;-)
