Synopsis:

If Heath Ledger doesn't get an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, I'll be very surprised. He gave, arguably, his best performance in this movie. Nothing against Christan Bale but Ledger just stole the show and surpassed Jack Nicholson's interpretation of The Joker from 1989's Batman.

The Dark Knight is a bloody masterpiece. It'll definitely be a must-have movie to add to my DVD collection.

RIP Heath Ledger 1979-2008 - you are sorely missed. Taken from this world too soon.

@Othras Yeah I'm fairly positive we'll get a teaser by the end of summer (at latest). For TDK, Nolan started filming in April 2007 and this came out in June 2007. Two months is plenty time to finish most of filming. TDKR starts filming in May as casting/the script is all done. So July sounds right for a teaser.

Also, they've already cast Bane and others earlier this year, so the next step is filming. And yesterday it was announced they're mostly filming in Pittsburgh rather than Chicago.

@ShirtlessLocke idk... the teaser with the batman symbol/joker card had the complete audio from different scenes. Have they even finished casting at this point? w/e, I hope you're right. I can't wait to see how they portray Bane.

This teaser was released at Comic-Con in June 2007 and was attached to the Simpsons Movie and other films later that month. Where as theatrical trailer was released in December 2007. I'd say we should be able to see a teaser in July, maybe with Harry Potter 8.

so judging by the release of this teaser to the release of the actual film, we can expect a teaser of The Dark Knight Rises around Oct.-Nov. this year!!
