He's the Governor of Maryland and is from Baltimore, that is not an accent when he speaks to the audience. He went to an Irish Catholic School, so the song has Irish roots and that is why he sings it with an accent.

coolest politician ever! it's actually a pretty good song and his politics are great. fucking fuck erhlich that dumbass wants to cut school funding and school are already having trouble. in my high school i got a twenty year old book. the date of the first person to use it was 1991. and Erhlich is a special interest cunt. i always see his signs in front of like buisnesses and the bosses can't do that anyway because the workers might disagree.
