dance anywhere® is a global, public art performance piece created by Beth Fein that occurs one day each year. This performance features an excerpt of Kara Davis' "With (& without) Words" danced by the Agora Project which includes dancers Kara Davis, Nol Simonse, Marina Fukushima, Daniel Howerton, and Sierra Stockton. With music by Katy Stephan, still photography by Breton Tyner-Bryan, Videography by Tanya Vlach and etching, "Kara," by Beth Fein.
The Agora Project danced at ODC Commons in San Francisco, CA, on April 24, 2009, at noon.
This 2009 event at the ODC occurred simultaneously with performances at the Asian Art Museum, SFMOMA, and many other locations all over the Bay Area, across the United States, and as far away as Argentina, Turkey, Italy, France, Sweden and Australia.
This year dance anywhere® will be on Friday, March 18th, 2011, 12 noon, pacific time (3 pm in NY, 8 pm in Paris or Rome, etc.). dance anywhere® involves thousands of participants annually.
