I don't go cause it would kill me. But I tell you that water is cold. I love it there in the winter but not the water for Gods sake! It's a killer! Bless there harts. They raised a lot of money I hear.

The swimmers collect a certificate stating they participated in the event. Some people got sponsors to donate money to a local cause if they "took the plunge". A nearby bar had a party for the swimmers and friends.

The young girl near the end of the video was smart enough to turn around and return to dry land after feeling the cold water!
