My dad was assigned to the Fighting 1st in the mid 60's. He worked for RFD for about 5 years before moving on to other things. I always wished he had stuck with it. Dad's been gone a long time now but there is not a time that I pass by Station 1 that I don't snap a salute to the guys on the shift.

I used to work for The City of Raleigh (not the FD Tho), Did they ever get a replacement for the wrecked Tiller at Station 1?
