I have to say PH2 because I believe the xr2 does everything the double magnum does but better.
So if I were looking at new calls, personally it wouldn't be a choice between the PH2 and the PH2 DM, it would be between the PH2 and the xr2.
Xr2 wins that fight for me as well, but is a difficult call to learn. PH2 is user friendly, and has a great sound, I like it quite a bit, good call in its own right.
I would try the calls out, then choose which is most comfortable for you.

do you prefer the ph 2 or the ph 2 double magnum..ive blown both. but hunters seem to prefer the ph2 where i hunt.
