Well, I've had hoover and every other brand...my dogs just run outside, no matter the brand. I now own 2 uprights and 1 hand held, if you want clean buy dyson. The only problem is if you don't buy from dyson, they will not honor warranty. I got a brand new dyson on ebay for 1/2 the price, but no warranty. Still it is the best brand out there.

Your dogs are more trouble than they are worth. I'd keep the Dyson and get rid of those yappy rats. Yuck,

Most animals bark at vacuums!!!! Or run from them!! That is why you put your animal in a different room when you vacuum!! Does this mean you are not going to vacuum ever because they bark?? LOL...
