Hey I just noticed young Yngwie looks like Sid Vicious...
-
how come rip off ... if you think like this .you must think ULI and Ritche are rip offs from bach paganini vivaldi.......its not like this.... influence is the right word for this cases.thei're 3 genious guitarrists...ritchie not so much
-
i know his fingers were dying to shred.....must be very tough for him to play slow...

... The production of fender stratocaster started in 1954, and large headstock introduce in mid 60´s CBS era.
Yngwie said the best stratocasters are made in this era, but you have to be very seletive.

that guitar actualy is from 1948 and is one of the ten first stratocasters made...its still original acording to yngwie he didnt change anything on it :)

With all this talk about Uli & Yngwie, I think we're forgetting that it wasn't simply Uli, but the whole Scorpions band. I don't know the original folk song so I can't make comparisons, but I know that the melody is obviously the same. I personally prefer the Scorps' version because it included the whole band with first the vocals only and then everone else joining in. The crowd singing along in the beginning gave it a totally different vibe too. Nothing wrong with loving them BOTH! :)

SORRY,ITS NOT THE SAME ,CANT COMPARE AN ANTHEN WITH A POPULAR SONG.THE ANTHEN IS A SIMBOL OF THE IDENTITY OF A NATION.SO IS SOMETHING MUCH MORE OBVIOUS TO PLAY.KOJO NO TSUKI EVEN BEEN A POPULAR SONG IN JAPAN,THE SCORPS CHOOSE THIS ONE AS A WAY TO SALUTE THE CROWD.AND MAINLY THE Y.M ARRANGEMENT ITS EXACTLY THE SAME,AS ULI'S.THE ORIGINAL KOJO NO TSUKI SOUNDS VERY DIFERENT THAN ULI'S VERSION.WE REALLY CANT SAY Y.M.. RIPP OFF ULI,CAUSE THE SONG ITS NOT HIS.BUTHE RIPPED OF THE ARRANGEMENT FOR SURE

@armandddd WHERE IS WRONG
Give the guy a break man. He didn't rip off ANYBODY. It's a famous JAPANESE folk song and he's playing it for THEM! He didn't play it when he played elsewhere. That's like saying all the guitar players who played "Star Bangled Banner" ripped off Hendrix. Also, Yngwie also mentioned Uli Jon Roth as one of his favorite guitar players too. I know he invites criticism because of his attitude sometimes, but that doesn't mean everything he does is open to question.

YNGWIE begins in 1984, and is live broadcasting of Alcatrazz in Tokyo where they visited Japan, isn't it? Guitar kids all Japan were the captive of the wonderful guitar technique which is he surely who also lost the lead to the DO liver... then. I play the guitar, too, but I pay my respects to him who underwent influence most even now. Thank you very much, YNGWIE... You're the hero who is for me forever.
Eternal....
