One of those magical moments in figure skating. And now, in 2013, we can celebrate Meryl & Charlie for their 2nd World Championship win (and 4th Grand Prix Final gold & 5th USA Nat'l Championship), and 2010 Olympic silver. But I think this was their 'breakthrough' moment. So wonderful how they've continued to grow & mature as artists.

This was Davis and White's coming out party. They may not have won a medal even though almost everyone knows they should have but from this moment on they were not going to be kept off the podium any longer.

This was one of those 'magical' moments for Meryl and Charlie; and the crowd response (throughout the program) was incredible, including the instant & complete standing ovation at the end: all those people in the stands (in France?) knew great skating & artistry when they saw it. This is still one of my all-time favorite performances by Meryl & Charlie; and the turning point when I became a life-long fan.

I've watched this several times in the last few days. Absolutely brilliant program and well executed. I love that lift wher she jumps on his back where he's on one leg the whole time. Beautiful.

Still, one of my very favorite ice dance performances ever! I've watched it so many times and still get goosebumps. Was the first time I saw Davis & White skate and have been a huge fan ever since. This was simply brilliant!!

That was one of the most riddiculous defeats I've ever seen in skating. Magnificent program, though.

Sadly figure skating is still about reputation not matter what scoring system they come up with. Since they were still considered the number 2 US team behind Belbin and Agosto they didn't get the scores they deserved. But after this performance they would be underdogs no longer.

On this night, they should have won the free dance instead of placing 3rd.
