Maltese eating raw beef.

Some people never associate small cute dogs with raw food, but they do like raw meat and enjoy it as the best of the treats. The only downfall is the red face after eating :)

i have a question i want to get a morkie i was told that these small breeds can get hypoglycemic are they fine eating the raw diet once a day like most people do on a raw diet or should i feed twice a day?

Actually as a breeder I still stand by my comment, I would never give my dog raw meat instead of a well balanced diet. We all know that raw meat contains worms, parasites and other microorganisms and yes I have a degree that is very strong in science and I have taken microbiology and biology and many other science courses and I have had nutrition education and as a person who worked as a nurse I would never ever recommend it.

@kimberly3d Seriously? That shows how ignorant you are. Dogs and Wolfs... which is a very close descendent of the dog.. (sorry you may have thought wolfs where related to donkeys) have been eating raw forever, we are the ones that tried to get dogs to start eating horrible canned and dry food. This is the best way to go and you are crazy to think if you bleed they will want to eat you! I wouldn't want to buy a dog from you!! Probably feeding them Kibbles 'N' Bits...

@kimberly3d -are you educated in the nutritional, species appropriate diet? If not then maybe you should look into it and do more research before calling judgment on it. Dogs have been eating raw for centuries! No wait, AGES! Since the first k9 creature set foot on earth, they've been eating raw. "The Kibble" dog food has only been in the market for 100 years give or take a few. What do you think dogs have been eating before kibbles existed? before man kind even domesticated them?

I am a breeder and I would not do this. It's really not advised. Your dog is going to get ill eventually and when you get a cut or sore good luck with having them not want to eat you....
