This is a demonstration of my shiney new defective Magellan 3000T GPS unit that frequently locks up and is basically useless. Video part #1 of 3. Its being sent back for repair under warranty. Hopefully it'll come back working -- getting tech support so far has not been an overwhelmingly favorable or pleasant experience.
The unit's reset button is located on the side -- it basically a reboot button. As far as a 'master reset' I'm not aware of one.
I did get the unit (finally) repaired/replaced but it was not without significant difficulty. Tech support was absolutely awful! Updating to the latest map & firmware sets (an update you typically need to purchase) on the repaired unit seemed to help as well.

I know you have your problems and I hope by now they've been resolved but can I ask you does this unit have a master reset? I inherited one of these and it keeps asking for a password and I don't know it and the guy that had it before me cannot be found.
