LyX has an implementation for math macros for long time. But it never was more than a power user tool, deeply hidden behind a mini-buffer command and not really ready for the usual user. Here an improved macro implementation is presented which is much more in the way macros should look like in LyX.

  • No, the video has no audio. My office mates would complain speaking to myself when recording the video. :)

  • How to add headers ? :)

  • definite integral is really ugly though, can it write nicer?

  • LyX just keeps getting better and better.

  • You rock man!, Thank you so much!. By the way. Do you know of a way of integrating Lyx with vim or emacs?

  • This is very interesting, but from your description it's not clear whether this is some new (one year ago) feature in LyX, or something you made. When you say "is presented" and "should look like in LyX" it sounds like you are presenting some improved version that you or someone else did.

    Is this the current LyX?

If not, where can I find more information?

    This demonstration is truly great.

  • that is just brilliant.
