  • @HowtoTow: You are totally right! I just left a government site and it costs $200 for a 12 month provisional patent. What a disgrace! 20K to 30K? WOW!

  • She was stating what it costs if you use their services. If you apply yourself it is less than $400.00 If you file for small entity you can take another 50 percent off that. If you file and pay online you get the discount also. From my understanding you can file a provisional patent for around $125.00 If you do it yourself and submit and pay online.

    Did you know there are maitenance fees? Ridicoulous! They also make it hard for a simple inventor. System is set up for the wealthy.
