Rare video footage of No Doubt playing live during their early years when John Spence and Eric Stephani were in the band. This was taped at Fender's Ballroom in Long Beach, California, where No Doubt headlined Mod Expo III in 1987.

I think this clip was shot during one of their encores where the video camera person went up on stage to get a closeup view. The only bummer is that somehow the music audio got mixed in with the audio from a radio or TV broadcast (I have no idea how and had no way of fixing it, although it's kind of ironic and cool to hear the music from "The Way We Were" while they are playing!). Anyway this clip has it all - closeups of the band memebers (including Eric Stefani), stage diving, groupies, bouncers, Silly String, and more! If you can figure out what song they are playing let me know. Despite the bad audio this is my favorite clip from their taped performance at Mod Expo!

  • @XoPOOKIEoX either 17 or 18

  • How old is Gwen!?

  • This was also pre-Adrian. Tony is such a baby in this video! And this is the first I've seen of Spence in action. I've only seen still photos before. I do wish that the other audio track wasn't over this whole piece. :( still thank you! :D
