Did you get those drum samples from the software? and if so, how did you get them from the computer into your TD-12 module? or are those samples from the TD-12? the TD-12 doesn't plug into a computer, or does it?

Killer tune, playing and mix.

Hi Dave, nice playing here ;)
I just want to ask something , did you use only superior's mixer or you mapped it to logic and use extra stuff from there , I am thinking to play an albume I have exactly the same stuff with you Logic,td 12 superior...... How did you feel compare to an acoustic set .....
Thanks Arda

Dont you have hot spot problems with the snare?

Aah a lefty :)
Always a little akward to see for mee haha.
Nice drumming bro!
Hi Arda, thanks for the nice words. I sent the superior mix to multi outs in logic where I used further processing. Eq and compression were mainly used on the kick, snare and toms, while all of the tracks for the drumkit received different levels of verb. The superior kit was a good start but further processing is required to suit each song individually. As for using the td12's, I find the feel similar to acoustic. The only weak link is the hi-hat. Still a better way to record at home though.

Thanks for the nice words! It's great to hear you like the song! It was written by my friend Randy Rodrigues. He and I are putting the finishing touches on the mixes for our album before sending the songs out to be mastered. I'll likely post more music and provide info on where to find it once it is complete.

Thanks to all for the positive feedback. To answer the question about how the drums were 'muted', you may be mistaken that I played over an MP3 or something similar. Since it's an original song recorded in my studio, I have the ability to mute or solo any of the tracks directly in Logic 9.
