You have just described the political problem of plutocracy and Wealthcare/corporate subsidies rather than an argument against government providing universal services and infrastructure that support the poor and middle class and are widely popular.

How much value is sucked out of the people collectively to pay for the politically connected corporations that receive bailouts, benefits over competitors in the market, subsidies and interest free loans? Wars? The value is sucked out of all of us, and the poor & middle class are hit the hardest, as you can see with present day income disparity.

If their is a shortage of charity, then people die. There should be no government safety net or tax and spend program to alleviate suffering.
