Love Around Us - A Nelena One Shot part 1

December 14th, Six years ago on this date, I became Selena Marie Jonas.
People said we were too young for marriage at 18. But Id like to think weve proved them wrong.
We both have successful careers. Nick in music and I in journalism. Thankfully Nick doesnt get noticed out in public as much as he used to.
Life is comparatively normal.
And the best thing in our life is our four year old son, Jake.
He brings a smile to our faces each and everyday.
Hes been sick for the last year. The doctors were never sure on what exactly is wrong with him. But whatever it is, he seems to be on the mend. It was heartbreaking to see him so sick and in such agony. But soon we can get back to being a normal, healthy family.
Nick and I had always wanted another child. So when I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant. I was ecstatic. I couldnt wait to get home to tell Nick! And when Jake finds out hes going to be a big brotherI was getting carried away when I received a phone call.
It was Meghan, Jakes specialist.
Selena: Hello?
Meghan: Hello, Mrs. Jonas. Sorry to bother you, but we have just received some of Jakes lab results and I was wondering would you and Mr. Jonas be able to meet me at 10am tomorrow, so I could talk you through the results.
Selena: Yeah, that would be perfect, Ill see you then.
Meghan: Okay, Bye Selena.
Selena: Bye
As I hung up, I had a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach but I pushed it aside.
It was probably just the start of morning sickness. I had learnt from being pregnant with Jake that the title was misleading and a lie. It had been more like morning, noon and night sickness.
As I entered our living room, I witnessed Nick teaching Jake the rules of football as they watched a game on TV.
I laughed. Like Father Like Son.
They both turned around.
Mommy! Jake shouted running up and hugging me.
Hello Sweetie hugging him back. Was Daddy good for you today?
No! I had to put him on the naughty step for fifty hours!
Did you?
Yeah. But hes good now. He showed me how to play football.
Will you be playing for the Red Sox one day then?
YEAH! He said running to the playroom.
Nick got up from the couch he had been sitting on. He looked like an angel in disguise sent from up above.
Hey Babe. How was work? he asked kissing me.
It was good. Demi said shes coming over later. How was your day?
Oh. You heard. I was a bad boy. Sat on the naughty step for fifty hours! Then watched football. The usual.
I laughed. Your crazy
I know, but thats why you love me
Oh is it?..... Yeah I suppose it is kissing him.
He deepened it.
EEW!! My eyes! My poor, poor eyes!!!! Jake whined.
We both chuckled, pulling away.
Nick lifted him up. Really? What about when your married youll have to kiss your wife?
Im not getting married. Girls are disgusting he said adamantly.
Hey! I warned.
Jake, thats what we all say. In a few years youll change your mind, and then well be the ones trying to stop you!

So I got a call from Meghan today. And she said we have to see her tomorrow morning. Shes got back some of Jakes lab results. I told Nick as we sat at the kitchen table. Jake was still playing upstairs.
Oh. I hope its all good news. The poor lad has been through so much.
I know. I also received some other news today
What?
Im pregnant!
Really? Were going to have another baby! he said, picking me up and spinning us around. I love you
Okay! Stop! Please. I havent got morning sickness yet but if you keep doing that I will. I laughed.
Sorry Putting me down he kissed me with intense passion.
I deepened it placing my hands around his neck.
Wait! Ive to call Joe! he said, pulling away unexpectedly.
Hey! Wait, What?
Oh, Sorry he chuckled. To babysit. Were going out to celebrate tonight.
