Footage from the 2007 http://www.downievilleclassic.com Downieville *is* Northern California's Mountain Biking Meca. It's an old and small gold mining town with the beautiful Yuba river running through it. Very easy to catch the gold fever if you spend more than 5 minutes on the river.

Yeah, I know ... the pixelation sux! My camera is pre-2000 :(
I used this footage as an experiment with sync editing. The low budget pixelation isn't really eye candy. IHMO, Sync editing (the flashing/image changes to the music beat) is mandatory for long helmet cam shots.
This is a mix of the 2006 Downieville Classic River Jump. The song is Micro Edits by Muse (apt name for all the editing I did :p). I did my best to mix/stitch the crappy pictures and video taken. But it gives you a feel for what I really want to produce ...

Amazing to see how much this has grown since the first year when half the riders almost died riding up Butte St out of Sierra City. LOL.

We were mining on the Yuba river when the first man walked on the moon.
The adults went to town to watch it on TV in a bar, the kids watched on a
little B&W TV in a camper at the campsite.
