Just a short collection of video clips from my first solo cross-country flight. I departed from Red Stewart Airfield (40I) in Waynesville, OH and flew to Pickaway County Memorial Airport (CYO) in Circleville, OH.

You can see me flying over Washington Court House, landing and taking off at CYO, and some sunlight filtering through the clouds on the way home.

  • lots of fields over there... always a reassurance, at least for me :)

  • @plane63 Indeed, there's plenty of places to land around here should something unplanned occur! ;-)

  • Did you have butterflies in your stomach? I have mine coming up but I wish I wasn't nervous!!!!

  • @woodfern909 I was more excited if I recall correctly and definitely felt like a pilot when it was all said and done.

Here's the post I wrote right after I completed the flight for a better idea of what I was thinking: bit[dot]ly[backslash]cJwIr2

Good luck on your first solo XC!
