"Rock Music" would have been a bit better if they had put on "Deeper Water" & "Revolution 9" and maybe taken off "Medication" & "Over & Out"...imho anyway...

@jorobli Chris was credited with writing a couple of songs on jetage - you can also hear his influence in a couple of tracks credited to Sarah on her own.

shame he left as that killed the band. i reckon the reason the sort of flopped was every album was to different from last due to second album had a new guitar player and third was just Sarah. sum was my fave period but also really like jetage album. hope they could make comeback with original lineup. I hear a Steve via influence in Chris.

i generally liked most songs (90-95%) in their whole career. later albums could have been assembled ina better way with the material available. record company kinda used a more pop sound from them to suit mainstream radio.. dont think best songs were chosen as their strengths, limiting appeal to those who got into them for their vibrancy & hooks.
dont believe Chris had ever intended to stay with the band from the start, & probably hanged around for far longer than he had wanted to anyway..

was kinda sad to see Sarah lose some confidence in rocking out & go from a bouncy personality to more cautious, reserved & nervous cos of the pressures of the 2nd album & music industry insecurities, but it's good how she's come into her own again as a songwriter now, whether working solo or collaborating.
it's not the same cuppa tea we had once enjoyed, but makes for interesting grooves, combo of sounds & melodies. she is rather damn crafty ;) ..

would be good to know if Chris put down demos with them before they bought Tim in, & whether any of his stuff ever went unused. wonder what various sound hes liked playing with for the last decade & what his take is on the artists of now.
if they (any combination of the band with original players) ever desired to re-create themselves, they certainly have an inspired, vivacious back-repertoire to draw from to mix with new & could be quite the force.
