On February 12th 2008, a traditional Welcome to Country ceremony was performed in federal Parliament for the first time by Indigenous elders, the day before Mr Rudd's formal apology to the Stolen Generations.
This instrument, the Parliament Yidaki, was used during the ceremony by Arnold Marika and has got to be one of the most important and significant instruments currently available.
