There is no such Christian doctrine, my friend. If I understand what the mormons say, they believe that 'As man is, god once was. As god is, man may become'.
My question was: does that mean that the mormon god committed sins?

Like denial of the Trinity and Jesus' deity? Like Jesus and Lucifer being spirit brothers? Polytheism? Mormonism is NOT of the Lord, except that which it lifts from Christianity.

Issues with Mormonism:
~ God is not fully God yet, He is still progressing.
~ I must have Joseph Smith's permission to enter Heaven.
~ God came down and had physical sex with Mary.
~ I can be a god but only if I have more than one wife.
~ Adam created the world & organized it with the help of the wife he brought to earth with him.
~ God has many wives in Heaven, who are all eternally pregnant.
This is LDS Core Doctrine.
